ALEF ARTISTS - LAZARAS SPEAKS

(Transcribed, edited, and formatted by George ALEFantes)

"I could make anything simple.
I could project anything I see.
Project images."

DOGS

Dogs,
Scaring, having,
Holding hands,
Showing teeth,
Showing hair.

KING

King, fling.
Muscled-nose,
Long-legged,
Stretch-haired,
Stretch-tailed,
Circled ears,
Rambunctious;
Paw, pawed, pod:
Suede paw.

WITHOUT THE THUMB

You can't tell where a person's head is at
Without the thumb.

CAMEL CIGARETTE

Volvo, revolve, revole.
Camel, scent, list,
Listic scent, dangerous;
Dangerous, God!!
Mexico City. I was there!
That was a pleasure:
That one house, it was rich.

BEACH

Big, hairy apes;
Big, hairy, blond apes.
The two (can't do two).
A ring around the fingers;
We've only just begun,
Just started, just acquainted.

Parliament passing the ground,
Presidents thinking,
Went into grocery store,
Pitched in money,
Gave money for a baggie cement bag.

TO MARY (BY SHOE, SHOEMAN, SHOEMAN LINER)

Poem, justice, julius, on bed,
Like women who are different.
Beds, sheets, rest comfortably:
Mary was a long lawn.
Along came m'lamb
And hit me in the face
Along felt hair.
Looking through the cracked-glass forty-fives.
We scent the smell of oil;
Anti-ballistic missles
were running through my brain.
Sheldon fell through his car toy.
Flou, flower, flowing, smell, smelt.
I ran through the kitchen,
Rush, rush!
Fell out pellatical filter,*
Touched my face,
Ran through the screaming fling.
Then I awoke, lifted my coat,
Ran afloat,
Two coats,
Flipped the light,
Astound by delight;
And cuticles running up and down my veins
Like mild vantage.
Swang through the door,
Powed my imagination,
Sang, sin, pen,
Shakes a drink for pleasure,
On platter.
Shinney said happily,
"You're adult,"
And supplied me with plenties.

(Upon completion, Lazaras added, "That's finished. That's the edge. That's the cliff.")

* Pellatical filters - Muscles

THE JELLYFISH

The sting comes in a big red bump.
Don't fet,*
For there is no fet to be around in your mind.
Used ointment.
And no fear to come.
And away goes the bump.

* Fet -bother, make you super scared, m.y. nervous, over ease, out of ease, out of nervousness, out of scary, like out of a big problem.

CHRIST

String. Wrapping up, sapping and combine:
Through the nerves, into the nerves, into the veins.
Pain. Painless efforts to regain
Body research.* Body function.
Ropes tied and burned around his wrists.
Out from a bag comes a body kit,
And supernatural becomes quite economical
at the time.

* Body research -a girl goes to a dance and meets different kinds of guys. When a guy says, "I'm body research," there's an instant kharma.

FEEL WHITE

Long singer, harmonizing,
Electrical instrument.
Plays with his singers;
Plays through books and sheets
- Spread sheets.
Chirping, chicadee bird,
Drinks carton of M.W. milk.
Palmed. Druggist? No.
Uses a cigar, smokes a cigar,
Brown cigar, white cigar.
Burns his cigarette,
Dumps his cigarette,
Ambitious.
Cowgirl in the Sand.
Buries his feet in the samd,
Buries his bells in the sand,
Picks up a speaker and lines it with velvet.
Downer by the river.
Finds his gun, boggles it,
Using goggles,
Cracks a hole - growing cracks.
Loner, rides the freeway,
Sits next to an empty photograph,
Lays the words down on his pocket
And writes a story.
Old Man? No, that isn't it!
Sits on the top of a hill,
Hand relaxed to a tree,
Looks around,
And everybody knows it's nowhere.
Old man, look at my life;
Then he says,
"City exists idiosyncrasies,
City has no pity."
Catches a deer, glances, catches
(Put a semi-colon);
Glances a deer;
Downs a trail to, you know, everywhere.
It's a lot like you were.
Coming to the sign that says,
"This is Nowhere,"
Throws off his pants,
Knows it's nowhere.

GEORGE

Engelbert Humperdink.
Sideburns, long sideburns.
The way you absorb.
You don't change, gosh!
You age off your body.

Many faces, strange faces.
Strange places, strange oasis.
Epileptic islands.

GEORGE'S CARS

Four-wheeled, modern.
Mercedez Benz.
Diesel, diesel engine.
Square engine.
Bodied car.
Yellow zam.
Train.
Cars, doors, zoom.
Moves.

GEORGE'S POEMS

Do you have them framed
with running sentences,
and leading sentences,
and margin sentences?

RICH SHAFT

Excitement, dramatics, black,
Natural.
Stepping in, falling in.
Coat, shoe, brown.
Man, sitting in his chair,
Riding, riding through the air;
Stepping through, moving through the walks;
Sidewalks, pastures, passing pastures.
Fields, yields, finally yields.
Yellow, while glimpsing flash:
Sterawberry red.
Bloom. Ha! Bloom into a garden.
Beard, distinguished, mysterious.
Looking glass, drinking glass, throwing glass,
Magnifying glass;
Reading a magazine, gazed,
Sentence, preference, sentence, entrance,
Exiting terrace, wooden terrace, flower,
Wooden flowers, cushion seats, cigar in hand,
Isaac Hayes walks out, flocks out, spocks out,
Doing talking (actually talking);
Touches the door, touches the doorknob, glump!
Palms the door, out of the door, slam!
And, as walks with the talker,
Woman in mind, girl in hand,
Reaching with his other hand,
Has a band of white-gold sand,
Reaching out of his pocket,
Throws in sand with the possession:
The abundance of heavy, white gold.

BORN CHILD, MOTHER MARY

On one sunny day
There was a barn and a baby boy.
The baby boy looked up at his mom
And there stood Christ next to Jesus.
This day was to be remembered.
For this was the beginning of pure
Flesh and blood,
The clearest human study of pure life.

After the baby's story
He grew up to be a great historian;
Antis* they were married
And went back to dust.

* Antis - Kinda like Latin, instead of using longer words, they miniturinze it, and it can be read different: 'And that' or 'that.'

LAZARAS' TRUE LIFE

Adamis qui eteefecaht Uventutum mayah
Means 'Advancement in age.'

First, pieces of wood were used on clothing
To suppress the ink;
Then, a harder substance of wood was used;
Then, the Guttenberg press was made.
Was invented.
Slowly, but surely, this is a summary
Of events of all sorts:
Created in my time,
Given credit to my teacher.

THE TROJAN HORSE

Men, fierceful and bold,
Were hidden in the door of the horse's mouth,
As his tooth began to move.
There began a battle inside of the surrounding walls
Of castles, centered building - centered houses.
Came running out, a man with spotted clothing,
A man with knife wounds in his heart.
Others came and attacked the horse's
Strange movement of Odyssey.

Women were dangling and laughing:
Prudence was no revenge;
While they were being horse-whipped by skinny men.
The horsemen, the Trojan horsemen,
Gathered the women
And threw pieces of what was left
Into the horse's mouth.
Pieces, remains of the bodies
Of the women who were scandalous,
In a potramic sort of running laughter,
Were teaming up with men
And rolling down the hills
And out the doors,
Out to the empty field of broken arms.

GODS OF ZEUS

Gods of Zeus are made of cement -
Lays in a crust of iron.
And, beneath the sea,
In a building of uniforms,
There lies a gerund stereo.

BROADS

They are ladies.
They feed on apples with worms.

TORTICUS

The powerful body of Torticus,
The Euclis is the female.
Wired tib, relapse lung extender,
A feeling from the nostrills to its body.
Clentches great stones,
Rubs her bones up to her thighs.

DILLBOYS

They're coming out to rescue you.
We got a car deck tape player
And English tapes.
Jazz tunes, rhythm blues,
All bring together
My happy news.

DAY OF THE PYRAMID

Spices and herbs bring the Oriental blues,
Pyramid, actual mainspring of timbering bells.

THE DIVIDED SNAKE

Riffled, raffled sound.
Fly, wings, net, combed.

LOVE

Cleopatra, beautiful.
Long, round;
Alike, likely, liking;
Wide, liking;
Straight;
Moody -
Never talking.

SEX

Sex, sox;
Body, lovely,
Dazzle, stazzle,
Fancy;
Mind.

STOMACHE ACHE

Intestines turning, sleeking,
Opening, ruin.
The gaul bladder absorbing,
Moving.
Kick in the leg,
A flick in the leg.
What could be more logical?

FAST GUITAR OR ROD STEWART

Lettered strings, musical beat-
Cdf gab-
Alphabet music:
Stewart's musical performance.
Cornered-car Stewart
Sitting, singing ... that can't be him!
Long-haired, singing soprano;
Bounces his voice,
Bounces his music,
Bounces his guitar,
Announces his voice.
Directiontivity, sensitivity.
Rock and roll, rock movie star.
Rockin' boot, rockin' boot, bootleg.
Spreading good humor, growing,
Moving tumor.
Development, groin.
Stepping pedal foot,
Running, running water,
Wet leg.
Palms, hot palms:
Jumps upstairs,
Jumps upstage,
Jumps up steps,
Throws his guitar,
Throws a few strings;
Lights, white lights,
Beam, attraction,
For esteem,
Yeah!

SUZY FRIEDMAN

soft and oozy.

BEAUTS

jack asses,
the eyes of the snake;
You know,
I know a Dutch Master.

George, you're it.
You know why I say it?
'Cause I feel like a woman
In this head.
