ALEF ADMINISTRATION - ABOUT BIBLE BY FAX

Welcome to the ALEF Bible By Fax System.

We are pleased to have made possible the dissemination of a variety of Biblical versions and collateral texts via your Fax Machine and are always working hard to add additional useful features to the system.

Please note that at those prompts that are not yet enabled, the default selections will be made for you.

Be sure to enter your Name and Fax Number.

Then choose between the following current Bible versions and texts:

King James Version
Revised Standard Version
Pentateuch, Hebrew Bible
Greek Septuagint
Hebrew Torah (Pentateuch)
Old Testament (Jewish Bible)
New Testament

Then select from a wide range of scheduling options:

Now
In 10 Minutes
In 20 Minutes
In 30 Minutes
In 45 Minutes

You can even choose your printed font size:

24-point
36-point
48-point

As well as a range of printed fonts from:

Beowulf OE Serif
London Tower Script
Handprinting
Celtic Runes
Jerusalem Grafitti
Scribe Scribble
Herodic Helvetica

Finally, you alone have the complete freedom to determine the color of the printed page and the weight and bond of the paper.

Before you confirm all of your selections, Be sure the fax machine is powered on and has plenty of ink and paper. Check in regularly for paper and ink changes. Depending on your above choices, the entire process should take between ten and twenty.

FUTURE AUTOMATIC UPDATES

Note that from time to time, we modify portions of the works to better align the message with the times. As these updates become available, you can receive them automatically. To do so, you need do nothing. In fact, Bible Updates are currently pending. Press "Yes, I wish to receive Bible Updates at a future time" within 30 seconds to cancel and transmission will begin.

We hope you enjoy the Bible By Fax.

Thank you very much!

READ WHAT SOME OF OUR VISITORS ARE SAYING

Wow! This Bible's free! And it comes right to your fax machine. How cool. I mean, how blessed. I got the New Testament in the NRSV, the New Revised Standard Version, day before yesterday and I'm already through Judges. I love it. I hope to be reading the Gospels by the time Revelation prints. Thank you ALEF.Net for a very clever service.

This is not a review of the Bible itself, cause you can get that anywhere. Instead, I want to praise ALEF.Net for their generous and thoughtful efforts to bring the Bible into the 21st Century and make this marvelous book available to anyone with a fax machine.

Jake

Hi. I plan to actually read it this time, AND IN ENGLISH!!

Mel

I got the Septuagint. Love it so far. But I'm ashamed to admit I made the same mistakes as Zeke below and should have started with a new ink cartridge. Also wish my fax machine had a larger memory capacity ... or a larger paper tray.

My husband and I can't thank you enough. We selected the 36-point Celtic Runes font this time. It's so much easier to read when you're as old as we are! I think we'll try the Scribe Scribble font next time.

I had to restart after getting about halfway through. I read in your SAQ that there was no restart ability in place. So I began the process again. May have to run by Office Depot for more paper!

I highly recommend Bible By Fax for anyone with a fax machine!

I have not been able to receive faxes from customers this week due to the fax download. Luckily it's Friday! I am just now realizing just how extensive the Psalms are. One of the admins here was kind enough to offer to work through the weekend to handle the ink and paper changes.

SAQS (SELDOM ASKED QUESTIONS)

Is there a charge for your wonderful Bible By Fax service?
Not at all. There is absolutely no cost for this service.

Is there a way to restart the transmission if it is interrupted?
No. Not at this time. But don't worry. There is no limit to how often you can use our service.

Will Bible By Fax transmit to color fax machines in color?
Why, of course. Anything less would be considered low-tech.

Can the Torah be transmitted in a configuration appropriate for Bible Codes study?
Absolutely. Select "Torah," then "Bible Codes Friendly Format," then simply input your keywords and spacing parameters. Bible By Fax will do the rest. And remember, we're always interested in seeing whatever apocalyptic predictions and prophecies you discover. Feel free to fax them back to us.

Does the Torah print last page first or first page last?
Yes, it does.

Will you be including any other supplemental Biblical works?
Yes we are busily preparing the Apocrypha, the Dead Sea Scrolls, and the Nag Hammadi texts for inclusion. Feel free to leave your fax number in advance for these and other vital updates.

I received your Bible By Fax but did not request it. What can I do?
We're sorry you did not request the Bible By Fax that was sent to your fax machine. Perhaps someone else entered your fax number in error. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused and are sending you another complementary copy. If after receiving it, you do not wish future versions or updates, simply write "Cancel" on the form at the end of the concordance and fax it back to us.

Is that a typo in Isaiah where God says "I make peace and create evil: I the Lord do all these things?"

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

A deep debt of gratitude is owed to Nathan of Gaza for his ingenious suggestions and apostate efforts in promoting the dissemination of the Bible in such a new and innovative manner.
